Prabhas acted in 16 movies till now and he tasted all type results in his 11 years career
The actor was born to U.Suryanarayana Raju and Siva Kumari on October 23, 1979 in Chennai. His family is from Mogalturu village in West Godavari district. Prabhas is the nephew of Telugu actor Krishnam Raju.Prabhas started his movie career with Eeshwar in 2002. In 2003, he was the lead in Raghavendra. He gained popularity in 2004 with M. S. Raju’s Varsham opposite Trisha. In 2005, Prabhas teamed with Rajamouli for ‘Chatrapathi’ was a blockbuster.
Prabhas (born Venkata Satyanarayana Prabhas Raju Uppalapati) is an Indian film actor known for his works in Telugu cinema.[2]Prabhas is the nephew of veteran Telugu actor Krishnam Raju.[3] Prabhas made his film debut with the 2002 drama film, Eshwar. His works include Varsham (2004), Chatrapathi (2005), Chakram (2005), Billa (2009), Mr. Perfect (2011), and Mirchi (2013) for which he received the state Nandi Award for Best Actor.[4] In 2014 he appeared in the Bollywood film Action Jackson directed by Prabhudeva.[5]
In 2015, he played a titular role in the epic Baahubali: The Beginning (2015), which is the third Global highest grossing Indian film of all time, and the highest grossing Indian film of all time within India.[6][7][8][9][10] The film was screened at the Open Cinema Strand of Busan International Film FestivalIndian Film Festival The Hague,[11] Sitges Film Festival in Spain,[12] Utopiales Film Festival in France,[13] Golden Horse Film Festival in Taipei, Taiwan,[14] Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival in Estonia,[15] L'Etrange International Film Festival in Paris,[16] Five Flavours Film Festival in Poland[17] and Hawaii International Film Festival in Honolulu.[18]



Prabhas was born to U. Suryanarayana Raju and Siva Kumari. He is the youngest of three children, with an elder brother Pramod Uppalapati[19] and sister Pragathi. He is the nephew of Telugu actor Krishnam Raju Uppalapati.[20]
